Xiao Qingdao Park, if it is not because it is too cold, you should be able to take more beautiful photos (stirred by the cold wind of -4 °C). It is still worth checking out the beautiful sea of Qingdao, thanks to the very blue sky.
Little Qingdao Park needs to buy tickets: 10 yuan / person, next to Lu Xun Park can go shopping together.
Opposite the back of the flag bridge in Qingdao, there is also a small island, which is also a tourist attraction, but it is often missed by tourists. This small island is called Xiao Qingdao and is now a park open to the public. The history of the city of
Qingdao is not too long. When Qingdao was also called Jiaoao, Qingdao already existed, but Qingdao at that time was really an island, now the small Qingdao. Xiao Qingdao has a small area of only 0.024 square kilometers, about 1/80 of Xiamen Gulangyu.
From the trestle to the small Qingdao, you have to take a circle and walk in from the Qinyu Road next to the Naval Museum. Xiao Qingdao Park is very quiet and there are not many tourists. During the German occupation, the island was renamed Akna Island and Qingdao became the name of the city. Later, the Japanese occupation period was renamed "Kato Island."
The strategic position of this small island was very important. The island has a tall lighthouse and is a symbol of Xiao Qingdao. The Japanese also built a torpedo warehouse on the island and built a railway.
Small Qingdao is only a ten minute walk around the island. There are walking trails, gazebos and benches along the beach. Visitors can stop and enjoy the rest at any time. From the small Qingdao, the trestle and the high buildings on the shore are more spectacular. The water in Qingdao is very clean in the early autumn.
Small Qingdao Island, also known as Qin Island, is a small island in Qingdao Bay. Small Qingdao Island is connected to the mainland via a long sea embankment. One of the island's landmarks is a German-built lighthouse erected in 1898. The pure white lighthouse is built out of marble, and serves as an important landmark for ships navigating in and out of Jiaozhou Bay. There's a large breakwater on the north side of the island where motorboats stop. You can pay them to take you out to sea, where you appreciate views of Small Qingdao Island and Qingdao Bay.
