"Ni Mountain is southeast of Qufu, Jining. According to historical records, it is the birthplace of Confucius. Previously called Niqiu Mountain, it was renamed Ni Mountain to avoid using Confucius' given name, Qiu. The scenic area is home to the Confucian Temple and Nishan Institute. The temple has a history of more than 1000 years. There are more than ten stelae for the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties and the Republican period inside and outside the temple, making it the place to learn about Ni Mountain and its history."

"The Shimen Mountains get their name from the two twin peaks of the same name. The mountains here are gorgeous and full of lush plant life. There are many places of interest in the mountains. Legend has it that this was the location where Confucius wrote the classic "Book of Changes,” and where Li Bai and Du Fu once feasted with Qilu. Kong Shang also lived here both before and after his assignment. Relics on the mountain include those from the founding of Confucianism, Li Duyan's residence, Qiushi Pavillion and Kong Shang's residence. There is also Shimen Temple, the only temple in Qufu. Other attractions include Thousand Buddha Hall, Tibetan prayer flags and statues of the three Buddhas and eighteen Arhats."

"Located in the southeast Zoucheng City, Yi Mountain became well known since the Qin and Han Dynasties. It is one of the most popular mountains in which ancient peoples showcased their determination. Yi Mountain has a rare landscape with unique, strange and giant rocks. There is grand granite on the mountain, and a splendid stone forest and strange granite form various natural stone carvings. Although Yi Mountain is not high, it features the magnificence of Tai Mountain, the strangeness of Huang Mountain and the steepness of Hua Mountain, creating a singular natural landscape."

"Jiuxian Mountain is located north of the city of Qufu. Chinese legend has it that nine ancient fairy maidens once sneaked down to the earth when the Queen Mother of the West was throwing a party in the heavens, and their fascination with the beauty of the world materialized into the nine peaks of Jiuxian Moutain. This is also the place where the Battle of Changshuo, which occurred during the Spring and Autumn Period of Chinese history, was waged. Within the surrounding tourist area, there are scenic spots such as Xianren Bridge, Zhelong Well, Black Dragon Pool and Guanyin Temple. The scenery is beautiful and the air is refreshing-- it is an ideal place for vacation and leisure."

"Crowned as "The King of the Five Sacred Mountains", Mount Tai has been one of China's most famous mountain peaks since ancient times. A large and impressive rock mass covering 25,000 ha and rising to 1,545 m above the surrounding plateau, Mount Taishan is considered one of the most beautiful scenic spots in China and was an important cradle of oriental East Asian culture since the earliest times. The mountain was an important object of the cult worship of mountains even before 219 BCE, when the Qin Emperor paid tribute to the mountain to inform the gods of his success in unifying all of China. Watching the sunrise and catching the spectacular sea of clouds are common activities that visitors engage in. You are also encouraged to explore the ancient sites, engravings, and religious temples to understand the role of Mount Tai in China's long history."

"Culai Mountain is located in Culai Town, Daiyue District, Tai'an City. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can see Mount Tai. On Culai Mountain there are lush trees and steep slopes. It is also rich in natural resources and historical sites. In the late Western Han dynasty, the rebellion army led by Fan Chong once set up their camp here. And in the Qing dynasty, the Nian Army devastated the Qing Army. What's more, there are also many Buddhist temples, Taoist temples, and stone tablets. The main sites include the Six Ease Room and the Lvzu Hall. On the nearby stone walls, there are many inscriptions by ancient scholars."
