Castel Sant'Angelo

Castle Sant'Angelo is a must-visit when in Rome. The structure itself is impressive, showcasing a mix of architectural styles from its origins as Hadrian's mausoleum to its later uses. The views from the top are breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at the city and the Tiber River. The museum inside features fascinating exhibits on its history, but the highlight is definitely the walk around the ramparts. The location is also ideal, situated near the Vatican and other major attractions.

Castel Sant'Angelo is close to the Vatican. There is an angel sculpture on the roof, hence the name. The ancient castle is round and stands alone, with 5 or 6 floors. It has a unique appearance, exquisite interiors, and turrets in every corner, which can be well defended. It is worth a visit.

Such a lovely place. I’ve been here thrice. I just love the history and it was lovelier when I went to visit here for the third time with my mum and my brother. My mum enjoyed the castle’s surroundings and there’s a nearby cafe that we love so much..

The castle tells the connection of ancient Roman emperors specially Hadrian and it's christian connections. It was used as a place of Pope's residence in middle ages. It has many exhibitions of how it became the castle of angels specially St Micheal the archangel, various replicas and changes the museum underwent.l during the ages. A must visit and a marvellous wonder. Gives amazing view of Rome and Vatican.

Love me some castles.Wonderful place to visit, must see views of the Vatican. There is a cafe/bar with wonderful views too. The museum part is really cool to see the history. Pro tip look down the grate in the museum. Make it to the end and roam around wonderful photos.

It's an interesting castle and mausoleum of Hadrian. We spend nearly 2 hours there. There are a lot of sloped steps, so wear comfortable shoes. We didn't know much about this castle, so it was a learning experience. It's a short ankh from Vatican City.
