Rugao Ancient City

Rugao Ancient City, according to historical records dating back to the Eastern Jin period, has been more than 1600 years. After the changes of the past dynasties, Rugao City basically formed a "outer circle and inner square" urban form. By the time of the Republic of China, Rugao City has built 11 streets and 83 alleys. In this square about 5 square kilometers of streets, there are many different shapes of houses, including many famous houses.

Rugao County is Rugao Village in front of it. After the seven years of Yixi in Dongjin (411 AD), Rugao County is the seat of the county. County is located on the north bank of the ancient Yunyan Yanhe (now as Chengguangfu Road), and there is a "Donghuizheng Bridge" and "Xihuizheng Bridge" on the east and west rivers of the county.
