Dongmaozhou Island

The East Island in the eastern Xisha Islands of China is located on the East Island Atoll (belonging to the Xuande Islands) east of the Xuande Islands. It is about 50 km southeast of Yongxing Island. It is the second largest island in the Xisha Islands. The origin of the name is based on Qilian Island. The island is rectangular and surrounded by sand banks. Buffalo herd on the East Island: It was in the 40 years around 1659 (late Ming and early Qing) that exiles fled from the sea and brought into the East Island. Administratively, it is under the jurisdiction of Sansha City, Hainan Province, China.
