Outstanding
It's actually quite nice to take pictures from below. I took a taxi directly up there so I didn't take any pictures. The taxi was 5 euros. The exterior is different from the other ones. Isabella I was crowned/held her wedding here. Remember to go to the tower last because you can exit directly after going down from the tower.
Alcázar of Segovia Highlights: Must-See Features and Attractions
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
The Alcázar is a unique stone castle in Segovia, with cliffs on three sides, accessible only via a drawbridge. The castle started out as a fortress and was later used as a royal palace, prison and military academy. The blue roof and the castle shape are very dreamy. According to legend, they are the prototype of Disney's "Snow White Castle". From a distance, the castle looks like a ship sailing between the Rios Clamores and Ledesma rivers. The towering tower is the sail, and you can get a panoramic view from the tower The city of Segovia and surrounding fields. Today, in addition to the historic part, the castle also has a special exhibition hall for the history of artillery, displaying various weapons. One of the castle's features is the blue roof, which is made of schist from the local river, which produces a metallic sheen under the light. It is said that Disney used it as a blueprint to design the cartoon "Snow White" castle, so it was named "Snow White Castle".
