Bukchon Hanok Village is a classic traditional residential area in Seoul. The houses are all perfectly preserved blue-spring houses of the Joseson era. In addition to traditional Hanok, Korean restaurants, hanbok stores, and traditional handicraft workshops, the area now includes a number of cafes, Western restaurants, clothing shops and galleries in traditional Korean houses. Visitors can choose to either visit the North Village, or stay in Hanok. The eight villages in Kitamura are a famous attraction in the Bukchon Hanok Village. These scenes highlight the architectural charm of the Hanok houses, some artistic and others rich in the flavor of the daily life of local residents.

Hanok villages, which can be found in a few places in Seoul and around Korea, are living museums. They're restored and preserved ancient neighborhoods, some in their original location (like Bukchon) and some re-created with hanoks (traditional Korean homes) moved from elsewhere. They give visitors an opportunity to not only experience what it was like to live in a hanok, but also what it was like to live in Korea 600 years ago.
You can experience the tiny, narrow streets and also explore Korean culture, as many of the hanoks are museums or offer cultural demonstrations. Some are private homes, and some offer accommodations.
Bukchon Hanok Village is a popular place to explore, as it's right in central Seoul, in the area between the Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Changdeokgung Palace.
Bukchon Hanok Village is such a pretty neighborhood where you can rent a hanbok whilst walking around the alleys. The houses look so traditional. Just like what I see in Korean movies. Very pretty. Visitors have to keep quiet here as well because people actually live in the houses. Great place for beautiful photos. Definitely recommend it if you're visiting. I loved it and enjoyed how everything was still very beautiful and elegant. You can also find souvenir shops around this area.

Bukchon Hanok Village is probably the most representative place in Seoul. 🇰🇷
It combines the past and today very well. It is one of my favorite place in Seoul. When I walk along the village, I feel relaxed.❤️
