🇰🇷Huwon Garden - a known secret garden
#seoul
Huwon Garden, also known as the Secret Garden, is a highlight of the Changdeokgung Palace. The Secret Garden is a vast and beautiful garden located in the palace complex that was once a private retreat for the royal family.
We totally enjoyed the tranquillity and beauty of the garden, featuring stunning landscapes, lotus ponds, and ancient trees. There are also several structures within the garden that are still in their original state, such as the Buyongjeong Pavilion and the Juhamnu Pavilion.
The Huwon Tour is available in various languages, which provide interesting historical and cultural insights.

The palace complex of Changde Palace, rebuilt in 2004, the original building was destroyed during the Japanese occupation. So it looks particularly new. Before I came to Changde Palace, I thought that the back garden and the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City were similar. After a round, I experienced much more than the Royal Garden. It was a masterpiece of traditional classical gardens. No wonder it was a world cultural heritage. There are pine and cypress in the back garden, there are maple trees, and autumn must be a scene of the mixed sky reflecting the red maple.
Changdeokgung Huwon Secret Garden There are many trees and plants and the garden is well maintained. This is an ideal place to view the attractions. Walking distance from the Moon Park and the trails is good 〜 especially at sunset!
Changde Palace Houyuan, is the back garden of the emperor, with trees shaded inside and lotus pond pavilion. The tour guide said that Seoul can come 6 times a year to see the lotus flowers and maple leaves. Think about the beauty of the maple leaves. If it is all red, how shocking, The brochure is the most beautiful Changde Palace back garden of maple leaves.
Changde Palace and Changqing Palace are next to each other, and the impression is a palace for the elderly of the Queen Mother. A bit like Cixi... Renzong's king had caught fire during the period, and it became a turning point in the political struggle at that time.
