Heungnyemun Gate

Xingli Gate is one of many city gates in Seoul. The characteristics are generally the same. It is mainly one of the punch-in attractions. It is inevitable to come and see it. You can pass by when you take a taxi. It is very eye-catching and iconic!

Come to Jingfu Palace, after the Guanghua Gate, is the double gate Xingli Gate, the square between Guanghua Gate and Xingli Gate, is also the place where the guard of the city gate guard changed the guard, and the ticket window is also in the corner of this square. From the Guanghua Gate to the Xingli Gate, only the middle ramp is paved with large chunks of stone, and the other roads are still sandy land, including the entire palace. The first gate to Gyeongboo Palace is Guanghua Gate, and the second is Xingli Gate. The earliest recorded here is "Xingli Gate". Once, China was the suzerainty of North Korea, and the Qianlong emperor named "Xingli Gate". In order to avoid taboos, it was changed to "Xingli Gate".

I do not understand why other visitors call Heungnyemun as "Xingli" gate. It is HUENGNYEMUN. Do not change Korean historical site's name as you wish. It is utterly disrespectful - and frankly ignorant.

The relatively complete preservation of an ancient city gate, it looks very old.
