The actual artifacts are far more impressive than the pictures! The patterns on the bronzes, the brushstrokes in the ancient paintings—the details up close are absolutely stunning, especially the Da Ke Ding (a large bronze vessel). Seeing it in person truly conveys its weight and grandeur. I highly recommend renting an audio guide (it's a great deal at 30 RMB). Otherwise, just looking at the artifacts won't give you any real understanding; the explanations make the visit much more interesting and informative, revealing the stories behind each treasure. The exhibition layout is very clear, and the signs are easy to follow, so you won't get lost. It's best to avoid weekends to avoid crowds and take your time. Wear comfortable shoes; the visit will take about 3 hours. There's a rest area inside if you get tired. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai. Whether you're a history buff or not, you'll feel the cultural charm—it's absolutely worth your time!

We came to 9AM and it was still very crowded. Every attraction was great, but the waiting time for it was very long, about 45-90 minutes. Go here after good sleep and you will have the best experience

We saw various shows featuring orcas, beluga whales, dolphins, sea lions, seals, and mermaids. On the second day of Halloween, there was a street parade, games, and shows – you could play from morning till night!

Shanghai Wild Animal Park is definitely worth a visit. The discounted tickets for senior citizens are excellent value for money, and I hope there will be similar promotional offers in the future. The park boasts a wide variety of animals, and I had a wonderful time.

If you can't get tickets to the planetarium, I recommend this Ctrip "Encounter the Stars" tour. It's a one-stop shop for all the planetarium's top attractions, and you can even enjoy the dome theater, planetarium, and telescope all to yourself after the museum closes at 5 pm!

Shanghai Ocean Aquarium

Highly recommend the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium! It's a truly therapeutic paradise, with a dazzling array of rare marine life. From colorful tropical fish and languid sea turtles to the lively dolphin shows (open during certain hours), every corner is a delightful surprise. The underwater tunnel is perfect for taking amazing photos; the interplay of light and shadow makes every shot a masterpiece. The aquarium is clean and tidy, with excellent facilities and clear signage so you won't get lost. Whether you're taking your kids for educational fun or enjoying a relaxing time with friends, you're guaranteed a joyful experience. It's also easily accessible, making it a must-visit gem in Shanghai!

The view was amazing, unfortunately it was too crowded to take a good picture. Wouldn’t recommend visiting in peak seasons

The commentary (in both English and Chinese) gave interesting insights about the city’s history and landmarks. I recommend going at sunset or in the evening when the lights reflect beautifully on the river—it feels like a scene out of a movie!A must-do for anyone visiting Shanghai—whether it’s your first time or your tenth. It perfectly captures the spirit and beauty of the city.
