A 'giant' park in Shanghai has become popular, boasting a 300-year-old ancient bridge, now open for free
The bustling Shanghai, a city known as the 'Magic City', is full of modern urban charm and profound historical heritage. Skyscrapers and historical sites are intertwined, showing both the unique charm of the city and the importance of its history and culture. In such a place, a park is gradually becoming popular, it is the Guhua Park located in Fengxian District.
Guhua Park, a park with an area of over 100,000 square meters, is known as the 'giant' park in Shanghai. It is not only huge in size, but also has unique charm. The design of the park is full of classical charm, as if you have traveled to the Jiangnan water town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Rockeries, flowing water, courtyards, ancient bridges, and ancient trees together form a beautiful picture. Here, you can feel the tranquility and beauty of the Jiangnan water town, and also appreciate the history and culture of Shanghai.
The history of Guhua Park can be traced back to 1736 AD, when it was not on this land, but on the south side of Lianfeng in Nantang. However, with the passage of time, this ancient bridge with a history of 300 years has been relocated here, becoming a beautiful landscape of the park. Standing on the bridge, you can see the beautiful scenery of the lake and feel the heaviness of history and the unique charm of the Jiangnan water town.
In addition to the ancient bridge, Guhua Park also has many attractions worth visiting. The most famous is the 'Autumn Water Garden'. This garden with an area of 1,300 square meters is built on a small island in the lake, mainly with brick and wood structures, and the courtyard is surrounded by lake water. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the pond, feel the natural breath of the rockery, and also walk between osmanthus and banana trees, enjoying a sense of tranquility and comfort.
In addition to natural landscapes, Guhua Park also has many cultural landscapes. These landscapes are full of historical and cultural heritage, allowing tourists to feel the history and culture of the city while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Here, you can see the fusion of ancient architectural styles and modern design concepts, adding a unique charm to the park.
What's worth mentioning is that this 'giant' park now implements a free policy, allowing every citizen to enjoy the tranquility and comfort brought by this beautiful land.
Whether you are playing with children or walking with friends, Guhua Park is an excellent choice. Here, you can feel the beauty of nature and the heaviness of history, and also enjoy a rare tranquility and relaxation.
For this historic park, everyone has different views. Some people may be attracted by its historical heritage, and some people may be moved by its natural scenery. For me, Guhua Park is a park full of charm and stories.
It not only shows the historical and cultural heritage of Shanghai, but also shows the beauty and tranquility of the Jiangnan water town. Walking, playing, and relaxing here are all a rare enjoyment.
In general, Guhua Park is a park worth visiting. It not only has beautiful natural scenery and profound cultural heritage, but also has a free opening policy. Whether you want to feel the breath of history or relax in nature, this is an excellent choice. Shanghai, China
Guhuayuan can be said to be the gathering place of Fengxian humanistic beauty. Although the history of the park is not long, the ancient Huayuan means "Ligu Lihua" is the collection of the essence of Fengxian famous gardens in the past generations. It is known as one of the four ancient times of "Yujiao". It is designed by the famous architect Professor Chen Congzhou, which collects the essence of Jiangnan gardens. Dozens of ancient stone bridges, water pavilions, rockery, stage and other distribution in the garden, one step at a time, both beautiful and elegant. Especially the "Nantang First Bridge" in the park, in front of the ancient pavilion of Hongzhu Daiwa, is more beautiful and moving. Address: No. 220 Jiefang Middle Road, Fengxian District
Came on June 9, 2023. Guhua Park is a "Shanghai Five-star Park". To be honest, I am a little envious of the people of Nanqiao. There is such an excellent park near their home. I came to visit for more than an hour this time and I was very happy. The scale of the park is not small, there is enough space to create scenery and set up leisure and entertainment facilities in the park, and the whole park is strolled down, the physical strength of normal people is definitely enough. The landscape of the park is designed by the famous architect Professor Chen Congzhou, full of the beauty of Chinese gardens, there are lakes, continents, quails, hill and other landforms, and then decorated with pavilions, tai, towers, towers, quails, piers and other buildings, each area has its own characteristics, and I don’t feel aesthetic fatigue. The greening in the park is very good. It happened to be the hottest time of the day when I went, but the park was shaded by trees and not very suny; and, at present, the orchids were in full bloom and the flowers were overflowing. In short, it made people feel happy. The park is also quite complete with leisure and amusement projects, in addition to sitting on the Shuangting Bridge for a while, there are East Lake cruise ships and children's playgrounds, and there is a dedicated open space for exercise hidden in the woods. There is a small parking lot next to the southeast gate of the park, 5 yuan an hour, parking on weekdays is still very convenient, and holidays are not easy to say.
Guhuayuan: An unexpected classical garden. Similar to the Slender West Lake, it was originally a garden of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was circled to become an ancient garden. The pavilions were built near the water or Lingshui. The surrounding winding bridges and flowing water were full of ancient meaning. The gentle and elegant residence of the man of the family in the ancient novel on the sleeve side is born. It is a free garden and it takes 72 hours to enter the door.
The lotus leaves are infinitely blue, and the lotus flowers are different red.
In the early winter, Guhua Park with the flavor of Jiangnan Garden looks more beautiful. Yachts, ancient stage, pavilions, ancient bridges, stone lions, ginkgo, maple leaves and deciduous leaves make up a beautiful picture scroll. In the garden, bonsai, red maple, ginkgo, rockery and reflection make up a photographic sketch, which is very pleasant to the eye.
