Xiqiao Mountain Garden is located in the west peak of Lushan Mountain, at an altitude of 100.87 meters. There are two main landscapes: the Notre Dame Basilica and the Observatory. The Notre Dame Basilica is located in the north of the mountaintop and was built by French missionaries. It is called the "First Cathedral of the Far East". The whole building has a unique shape, no steel, no beams, no nails and no wood. The arches and ramparts are Roman, the olive bell tower is Israeli, the spire is Gothic, the columns are Greek, the water is clear, the horn-shaped floor tiles, the glazed tiles are Chinese. Shanghai Lushan National Forest Park was established in June 1993 by the Ministry of Forestry approved by the State. It is located in the Songjiang area of the ancient city of Shanghai's western suburbs, covering an area of 401 hectares and 30 kilometers from the city center. The twelve peaks in the park tend to the northeast from the southwest, and stretch for 13 kilometers, making the Shanghai Plain of Yima Pingchuan show a beautiful mountain and forest landscape.
