Tai'an Old Street

Tai'an Old Street is located north of Tianpinghu Road and west of Meishan West Road in Tai'an City. It is designed as a landscape pattern of "one axis, five districts and multiple streets and alleys". The core of the old street is the landscape axis, which runs through mid-spring, mid-summer, mid-autumn, mid-winter and the waterfront landscape area. Going north along the landscape axis, the fountains in the fountain belt add a lively atmosphere to the old street, creating a beautiful artistic conception of "small bridges and flowing water". The unevenness of the bluestone road further highlights the quaint color of the old street.

The old street combines traditional Taishan elements and the design concept of the twenty-four solar terms. The building blocks are named after the solar terms, and the paving of the landscape area changes with the solar terms, creating a unique solar term atmosphere. The broken line and curve design along the river create a rich waterfront landscape, which is connected to the Panhe Scenic Area. There are performance squares, landscape pavilions, painted boats, bars and landscape plank roads on the north side of the commercial body.

At night, the light show of Tai'an Old Street has become a major feature, and together with the flowing landscape axis of the Panhe River, it constructs a night view corridor. The interactive light and shadow show, gravity-sensing lights and sky screen provide visitors with a rich visual experience.
