I didn't expect that the ancient palaces should be so luxurious, cover in a palace, specially raising butterflies, all kinds of strange, very beautiful.
Tickets 20, half price of student ID card, there is another charge inside, 60, I did not go. This museum is the largest I have been to so far, went for nearly five hours, the history inside, the artifacts are worth seeing, very educational.
Butterfly house is located in the centre of Vienna hofburg palace, only 200 meters away from Vienna opera house. Here you can enjoy hundreds of beautiful butterfly dancing in the simulation of tropical rainforest.
If you love butterflies or are just curious to see many species, then The Butterfly House is definitely for you. Keep in mind that the butterflies are alive, flying, not exhibited on a panel, behind a glass wall. Beautiful creatures, lovely and colourful - around 400 live, free flying butterflies await for you at this „museum”.
Kids will like it; a nice place to warm up on a cold day :-)
Stunning building of white iron, glass and plants inside. A fancy bar/restaurant in there too!
