I've stepped on the pit of the Terracotta Army in Xi'an for everyone! Avoiding the thunder
"The ground plane is a mysterious mirror. Above the mirror, there are the towering and silent mausoleums; beneath the mirror, the time of the empire still walks."
The Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang is as big as 78 Forbidden Cities, equivalent to an underground kingdom, and the Terracotta Army is just the tip of the iceberg.
Let's talk about the 【Bronze Crown】 bronze chariots and horses, which took 8 years to restore and were made at a scale of one-half of the vehicles used by Emperor Qin Shi Huang's royal fleet. The displayed No. 1 chariot is a replica.
The two chariots are mainly made of bronze, and they are the earliest, largest, most complex, most complete, highest level, most exquisitely made, and best-preserved bronze chariots unearthed in China. They are also the largest bronze artifacts discovered in world archaeology.
👀Recommended visiting order for the Terracotta Army: Pit No. 1—Pit No. 3—Pit No. 2
Pit No. 1: Currently the pit with the most terracotta warriors, the first three rows without armor are infantry (dare-to-die troops). I thought I couldn't capture the effect of the sunset on the terracotta warriors on a rainy day (in fact, I couldn't without a telephoto lens), but there is a warm light spotlight overhead, which photographers can use to create.
Pit No. 3: It is the command center, currently the smallest in scale. Deer bones have been unearthed in the pit, presumably used by the army for divination.
Pit No. 2: Still being "developed", there is a work area set up on-site, and archaeologists are usually present to restore the terracotta warriors.
♢The warriors in this pit are special forces, among which the kneeling archer was unearthed intact, the only one that has not been restored, with clear hair, shoelace eyelets, fingernails, and even palm prints visible.
♢The Terracotta Army has a unique face for each soldier, the ultimate in realism, admiring the craftsmanship of the artisans two thousand years ago, and also paying tribute to today's cultural relic restorers.
👉🏻About stamping: After exiting Pit No. 2, go to the cultural and creative store on the left outside (the ice cream sold there has no eyes), where you need to buy a pass for 35 yuan, and staff will help you stamp it.
🚌Transportation: Take Line 1/6 to 'Textile City', transfer to Line 9 to 'Huaqing Pool', and then take a bus or taxi (10 yuan/person) to get there.
🎫Ticket: 120 yuan/person (includes the Terracotta Army + Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang) Students 60 yuan/person
📍Address: Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum Museum, Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province
⏰Opening hours: 8:30~18:00 (entry stops at 17:00)
Walking into the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum is like traveling through a time tunnel. What is presented before your eyes is a magnificent array of terracotta warriors, lifelike and in various poses. They are dressed in strong armor and are majestic and solemn, as if telling the glory of the past. The history of the Terracotta Warriors can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty, when Qin Shihuang unified the six kingdoms and established a powerful centralized state. In order to protect his mausoleum, he ordered the construction of this magnificent underground army. These terracotta warriors are not only a symbol of ancient military power, but also a treasure of ancient Chinese civilization.
Overall, it is worth a visit. It is very shocking, and you need an explanation to have a better experience. However, the tour guide of Ctrip with the explanation was too ordinary. She just took us to the door, let us go to the toilet, and then she went to take the bus. There was basically no explanation. When we arrived at the park, we stood there waiting for the museum's tour guide, and there was no explanation. This money is quite easy to earn. The tour guide in the museum had a serious face and spoke like a machine gun, which saved time. The content of the lecture was still quite valuable, and I learned some knowledge. In the end, I had to go into the store.
You must check in when you come to Xi'an. This is one of the eight wonders of the world. It's worth the trip! It's quite shocking, and the explanation is also very good. I learned about the powerful Qin Empire, the past and present of the Terracotta Warriors, and the profound heritage of Chinese civilization. It is worth recommending, very good!
Provide convenient services to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Before the end of the summer vacation, I took my two children aged 10 and 15 on a trip to Xi'an. We use the Taiwan compatriot ID card You can reserve tickets online for the Archaeological Museum/Qinxuan Museum, which is very convenient. Terracotta Warriors and Horses: It is not possible to make an appointment for children with Taiwan fetal certificates. I asked on the phone. As long as adults have an appointment and have tickets, other regulations will be followed by the regulations of the country. Children's certificates can be exchanged for free tickets at the ticket gate. Huashan: I couldn’t even get an appointment with the adults’ voucher. I asked on the phone: I just gave the hard answer: They all buy tickets at a special ticket gate for a family, and they are guaranteed to have tickets. In these places, children can enjoy the beauty of the mountains and rivers culture of the country. Shaanxi Museum It’s hard to book a ticket. We also book tickets at 10:00/11:00/18:00 as per the rules. Can I really get a ticket? But the amazing thing is that the Taiwan Compatriot ID card can be reserved at the Archaeological Museum/Qinxuan Museum. At the last link, information about no ID card pops up. The phone never goes through Later I wanted to say that all government agencies should be equally convenient for the people. I took a taxi with my kids. I asked the security guy first, and he kindly replied that I would go to the ticket gate and see if he would give me a ticket. When we got to the ticket gate, there must be no tickets today. Did you make an appointment online? Please swipe another QR code on your Taiwan compatriot ID card to make an appointment on another day. But there are no tickets today If you have another choice, why not make it public? I want people to run around and swipe the code if they have a ticket, and if they don’t have a ticket, they swipe the QR code to make an appointment for another day. The child has a good attitude and says to his father: We have nothing to do with him. Let’s go and see it.
I got up early and arrived at around 7:30 and entered at 8 o'clock. It was not as crowded as I imagined, but when I came out after the tour, there were long queues of people, and the flow was limited. People were allowed in every 20 minutes. So you must go early and have a tour guide, otherwise it would be a waste of time and you would not know anything. You would just see a bunch of dirt lumps. Huaqing Palace also hired a tour guide. I watched the Song of Everlasting Regret in the evening, which was pretty good.
A must-see attraction for tourists in Xi'an. Although it is very hot in the summer, if you haven't been to the Terracotta Warriors, you have not been to Xi'an! Currently, there are 3 pits open, and only Pit 1 does not have air conditioning, but the Terracotta Warriors are all in Pit 1, so no matter how hot it is, you have to queue up to go in and see the spectacular sight of this underground army!
Best time to visit is early so that you have started your day here with less crowds. Wander through all areas of the tombs to see a variety of artefacts.
A historical cultural site. Still in the process of being excavated, the Terracotta Warriors are a sightseeing marvel. Created to accompany the first emperor of China into the afterlife, it is amazing to see how these warriors have stood against the test of time. I definitely recommend reading up on the history before you go to visit in order to fully appreciate what you’re seeing.
