Jiefangmen Residential District

Looking at the introduction of this city gate, the railway station began to be built in 1934. The original city wall opened a door hole here. In July 49, it was renamed Jiefangmen. Later, the railway station was expanded and the door hole was demolished. In 2003, it was found that the disadvantage of demolition was removed, and then it was rebuilt as a 3 large-span city gate connection. The historical opening of Xi'an city wall has been repaired and the whole has been opened.

Jiefangmen was originally named Zhongzhengmen, also known as Xiaobeimen. At the north end of Jiefang Road, the west side of Jiefangmen is Shangdemen and the east side is Shangjianmen. The Jiefangmen did not build the city gate before, which was a break in the city wall.

Jie Fang Men Residential District is an area around northwest part of Ancient City Wall of Xi'an situated right in front Xi'an train station.
