Qinglong Temple, formerly known as Shifo Temple, is located on the northeast side of Dayan Pagoda in the southern suburbs of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and on Leyouyuan to the north of the Qujiang Pond ruins. It was originally the southern corner of Xinchangfang in the Tang Chang'an City, covering an area of about 120 acres. Qinglong Temple is not only a Buddhist holy place, but also a witness to history and culture. 🏞️ Qinglong Temple is located in a unique location, located on the high and beautiful Leyouyuan. Its predecessor was Linggan Temple, which was built in the second year of Kaihuang in the Sui Dynasty (582). In the fourth year of Wude in the Tang Dynasty (621), Linggan Temple was abolished; in the second year of Jingyun (711), it was renamed Qinglong Temple. 🏛️ In the Ming Dynasty, the temple buildings of Qinglong Temple were destroyed, the buildings on the ground no longer existed, and the ruins of the temples were buried underground. Qinglong Temple is mainly composed of three parts: the East Courtyard, the West Courtyard and the Central Courtyard. The East Courtyard has the Huiguo Konghai Memorial Hall courtyard, and the West Courtyard has a two-story side hall with a total of 19 rooms. 🏞️ Qinglong Temple is a AAA-level scenic spot in Xi'an. In 1996, it was listed as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. On December 30, 2011, the Qinglong Temple Ruins Scenic Area was officially opened to the public free of charge. In May 2012, the Qinglong Temple Ruins Museum was also officially opened to the public. In 2019, the "Kukai Memorial Courtyard" of Qinglong Temple was rated as the fourth batch of "20th Century Architectural Heritage". Qinglong Temple is not only a witness to history, but also a cultural heritage. It quietly tells a thousand-year story, waiting for the arrival of every tourist.
