The park is actually quite large; it's not just about seeing the giant heads of the Yellow Emperor and the Yan Emperor. Inside, there's also the Yellow River Geological Museum, the Yellow River Mother Sculpture Park, a calligraphy stele forest, and a statue of Chairman Mao inspecting the Yellow River at the top of the hill. The park's main square is flanked by sculptures of figures from traditional Chinese culture, each with their own story. The base of the Yellow Emperor and Yan Emperor statues is surrounded by sculptures representing 56 ethnic groups, and there are also bells, drums, and numerous bronze tripods of various sizes, full of ceremonial symbols.Zhengzhou

M52***87The Zhengzhou Museum's current special exhibition of celadon porcelain vases and the Gongyi Grottoes photography exhibition are both worth a visit!
There's also a lot of pink muhly grass growing on the hill in front of the museum! It's a dreamy pink! Perfect for photo ops!
The museum has VR, and you can even customize your refrigerator magnets with AI! (Metal magnets, 30 yuan, come with a photo—super worth it!) There are both real-life and cartoon versions, and you can choose to use artifacts as backgrounds. But when I went, I don't know if it was a camera issue, but every photo I took turned out to be a cartoon effect...
The museum's treasure, the celadon porcelain vases, are enormous! It's incredible they're from the early Shang Dynasty...
It has intricate patterns on it, and it looks like it was molded.
There's also information on pottery and porcelain, including models of clay and kaolin, a pottery kiln, and a bellows that works! There are also two realistic models (but one is lighter and the other heavier, for some reason... maybe the heavier one is realistic in weight, and the lighter one is so children can't lift it?).
The exhibition hall offers guided tours, which I think are held at 3 p.m. on weekends. You should be able to learn a lot if you attend! The Gongyi Grottoes photography exhibition is truly stunning!
