Zhulin Temple

Zhulin Temple was built in the second year of Jin Dading in the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 1162). It is located in Nanyangpo of Daiwang Mountain, Laishan District, Yantai City. It is the only ancient temple with ethnic style and strong incense in Jiaodong Peninsula. It was rebuilt in two generations and recorded in the inscription of Emperor Qianlong. Ten years of turmoil has turned it into ruins, and the now rebuilt Zhulin Temple not only retains the beauty of the holy name recorded in history, but also expanded its scale. The entire temple has a royal style and is majestic. There are Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Sansheng Hall, East and West Side Hall, Bell and Drum Tower in the temple. Maitreya Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Eighteen Arhats and other Buddhas are enshrined in the hall. The images are vivid and lifelike. In front of the door, a pair of "sounding stone lions" lie on the left and right sides of the mountain gate. There is Jiaolong Spring behind the temple, which is constantly flowing all year round. On the mountain behind the temple are rugged rocks with different shapes, such as Dharma-protecting stone, red face stone, silk cap stone, bed nest stone, three-person stone, etc., as well as the legendary Xianren Bridge, Xianren Cave, etc., waiting for us to continue to develop. This place has beautiful scenery, strange mountains and rivers, and it is fascinating.
