Opera and Ballet Theatre

The Yerevan Opera House and the French Square are actually a crossroads. The statue of the French painter erected in the center of the round square is a gift donated by the French government. It is from the famous Rodin (Auguste Rodin), and the Yerevan Opera House was built in 1933 to the south of the French Square. It includes a concert hall and a ballet theater that was only completed in 1953, and the designer is Alexander Tammanian (Alexander Tamanian). The Liberty Square in front of the gate was formerly known as the Opera Square or the Theatre Square, which was flanked by bronze statues of Armenian composers and poet writers, and I don't even know the name. Liberty Square is still the main place for people to protest, but on weekdays, many teenagers playing wheels and skateboards practice here, every holiday will become a children's playground, surrounded by large inflatable amusement facilities and tents.

Very good opera house, one side can enjoy ballet, singing and dancing, one side can enjoy symphony, piano solo, ticket prices 1000AMD to 20000AMD (1 US dollar equals 480AMD). The entrance to the opera house is Liberty Square, there are many restaurants and music bars next to it, suitable for family and friends gatherings.

The center of Yerevan is not big, but the artistic atmosphere is still very strong. Opera, ballet theater. All performed inside! The sculptures of the playwrights outside also give people a feeling of meditation and condensation.

In the afternoon we left the hotel and walked to Liberty Square, the main building of which is a very big opera house, built in 1933 and designed by Armenian architect Alexander Tamanian. Its capital Yerevan is a very famous landmark building, including two halls: the 1,400-seat Arama Hachatullian Concert Hall and the 1,200-seat Alexander Spandiarian National Opera Ballet Theatre. The building is very characteristic. To the south of the Opera House is Liberty Square and Swan Lake, which are not big. After viewing the Opera House, we went to the scheduled rental car at the other end of the pedestrian street without hassle along the spacious pedestrian street.

Yerevan initial impression. 30 minutes drive from the airport to Yerevan city center. After staying at the hotel, we started our walk: to the downtown opera house. Many locals were photographed along the pedestrian avenue. Ladies were unwilling to take pictures with me. Men were very enthusiastic. There are also photos of local police. This is the Grand Opera House, which opened in January 1933.

The Armenian National Opera, really perfect, the only regret is that the music is too high, halfway through seeing it, you have to block your ears with your hands. Last night was the last performance of the season, and then began their world tour. I wish them all the best!
