The main attraction along the central route is Tianmen Mountain Temple. Nearby lies the "Child-Seeking Cave," where local legend says the Child-Giving Guanyin Bodhisattva once appeared. Devout prayers here are believed to grant wishes for children. The highlight of the western route is a 60m-long glass walkway built along sheer cliffs. With transparent glass underfoot, walking across offers thrilling views of the deep valley below while experiencing the exhilaration of walking on air. Currently, both the eastern route and Panlong Cliff also feature their own 60m-long glass walkways.
The attraction does not offer accommodation, so it must be completed in one day. Near Tianmen Mountain Temple, there is "Cherry Bay Restaurant" which provides snacks and fast food.
Near the lower station of Tianmen Mountain Cableway, shuttle buses are available to the "Grand Canyon Theater," where you can watch the live-action performance and magical musical Tianmen Fox Fairy. Show More ReviewsPeople from Zhangjiajie visiting Tianmen Mountain with Shenzhen ID cards paid 100 yuan for a ticket, while I, a native of Zhangjiajie, happily bought a ticket for 288 yuan. My child, with a Shenzhen household registration, only paid 3 yuan for insurance. Thumbs up for Zhangjiajie! 👍 My child got in for free. I also chose the right time; it snowed as soon as we went up the mountain. My 8-year-old saw snow for the first time ❄️ It was definitely worth it; my child was extremely happy! 😇
