Boshan caves were discovered and developed earlier. As early as 1985, it was listed by the Shandong Provincial Government as one of the first five scenic spots in the province. On May 17, 2002, it was named by the State Council as a national key scenic spot. On December 15, 2006, it was assessed as a national AAA-level tourist scenic spot by the Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau. Boshan caves are well-deserved, and the gorgeous scenery inside is really shocking!
Boshan Cave has developed a depth of more than 1,600 meters and is a rare large limestone cave system in North China. The various chemical deposits in the cave, such as stalactites, stalagmites, stone flowers, and stone scorpions, are full of appearances and are worthy of an underground art palace. They are known as the "first hole in the North".
Kaiyuan Karst Cave is named after the cliff carvings in the Kaiyuan years of the Tang Dynasty. The cave is large and high, with six halls. There are various natural formations, such as stalactites, in the cave. More than 100 scenic spots can be seen. Each hall has its own characteristics and uses advanced electric lighting technology for different visual effects.
