We live locally and have never been disappointed by food or service on the few occasions we have dined here.

Service wasn&#39;t great, 25 min wait for our wine, no avocado in my salad but otherwise OK.. ordered a black coffee and was bought a flat white..waitresses are not attentive particularly.

Food was really good - especially the fish and chips. And the place is very nice. Service was good too, until it came to paying the bill, at which point it became a bit of a fiasco getting it right. If you&#39;re using the special lunchtime menu, just make sure that&#39;s what&#39;s being applied to the bill.

Good food and good service in a very pleasant atmosphere. A most enjoyable evening.

We went to the Woolpack for an eightieth birthday lunch and began with a glass of champagne! It was very crowded (the last week of vouchers) and a lot of clients had ordered fish. Unfortunately, my husband cannot tolerate an intense fish atmosphere and we asked to move table. We were relocated from the Restaurant to the bar. The staff were helpful and supportive with what was just an unfortunate glitch. Would we go again? Yes, but on a much quieter day!

Went for Sunday dinner, which was very good.  We had mains and desserts.  The mains were lovely, good portions of well cooked traditional roasts.  My dessert, apple and damson crumble, was overcooked, and chewy. However, the custard helped. Service was polite and friendly,  if a little slow at times.Having said the above,  I would definitely go back for another Sunday dinner.
