Value for money chef table!
Oh what a lovely find...We have been around Bangkok for years and are always thrilled to stumble upon a place that surprises us and reminds us that there are always new things to be discovered in this beautiful city.La Table de Tee is an amazing find. After browsing through the best places to eat in Bangkok in the latest edition of Thailand Tattler we saw this restaurant show up in between listings of the Bangkoks top star hotel-owned eateries. And needles to say that tickled our curiosity. We invited two Thai friends and off we went to enjoy a great set menu at a fraction of what you would pay in any of the other listed restaurants. From cocktails to dessert: French food with a very Thai twist. The restaurant is small, so better to book well in advance. You have a few options, but they are all within the set menu formula. We paid around 6.000 THB for 4 people, including a bottle of wine, which is more than reasonable for a meal including black truffle, prime beef, lamb, riso...
Really great foodWe knew this restaurant - or at least the location - by its previous incarnations as Fabcuisine and before that Thaipaz. Table de Tee has taken over this place and retains much of the previous restaurants elements - even some of the furniture, ambience, etc. Both previous places had really good food and were a la carte menus. Table de Tee is a fixed menu of five courses, with two options to choose from for several of these. And it comes with a fixed price of 1150 per person, about £23. Drinks etc. are obviously extra. The food really is excellent - imaginative and tasty combinations and we found almost every course to be truly delicious. The dishes are relatively small, being quality cuisine rather than simple bulk. The main thing to remember is to get the staff to bring the courses when you are ready, otherwise the dishes can be brought out in rather quick order - we certainly like a little time between each course to savour what weve had and prepare for the next...
A small place that doesnt look pretentious at all, but the food is marvelous. All the time it reminds me of the best places I go in Paris. Service is fast and smiling, a very good experience overall. One small regret, it can be a bit noisy when full and the decoration could be more elaborate to match the food.
Glad weve found La table de Tee!Very nice small restaurant close to Saladeang BTS-station. Everything tasted really good, especially considering the price quality ratio: five course dinner for 1150 THB. Wine is reasonably priced and the service is very pleasant and friendly. See La table de Tees website for the weekly changing set-menu and be surprised.
beautiful dinnerI would gladly pay 1000 bahts if every meal were like this: made with care, tasting like home and fresh. Drinks are not cheap but thats a thai thing. The food is awesome and this restaurant is a must do. 5 small plates, including the dessert, that made me really happy.

I thought the menu was interesting and delightful. Thing is the courses took 30-45 minutes. I do understand it's a small place with very limited seating so RSVP.
