Shang Palace is located at 89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. This restaurant has a strong Chinese atmosphere in terms of environment and culture. If non-Chinese in Thailand really want to try Chinese cuisine, then Shang Palace is a Good place.
Because staying at Shangri-La Hotel, after checking in at 12 o’clock, immediately go to the Shang Palace on the third floor for lunch and taste Hong Kong-style dim sum. Hotel guests also have a 20% discount, which is much cheaper than the Shang Palace in Hong Kong. The standard of dim sum is good, only the pork ribs with black pepper, which matches the local taste, it is a bit spicy for those of us who are not addicted to spicy food. The overall place is good, greetings are good, food is good, and the price is definitely excellent value for money.
Shangri-La is really good, and there will be X-ray before entering the lobby, and then you will have to go through the machine to check the package. The security is in place, the dishes at Shang Palace are very particular, and the environment is also very good. After the meal, you can go to the river to feed the fish
Great chinese foodShang is by far one of those chinese restaurant suited to my taste buds. Not my first choice of cuisine but Shang makes it delectable and enjoyable!
Great Dim Sum RestaurantMet up width friends for lunch at the lovely restaurant - food was as always delicious but most of all the service - didnot get the name of the lady servicing us but she was excellent.
Top level food and service, the decor is cold (Opinion only)We had essentially a bird nest and a honey glazed BBQ as well as an assortment of Dim Sums. Everything top level. The service was polite and efficient.I thought this was the best Chinese restaurant I ever had, until I went to the China House at the Mandarin Oriental, which is stunning. Really.
usual Shangri-La standards of competent Chinese foodcompetently cooked dishes, adequate service, unexpectedly large portions..restaurant was surprisingly empty, yet the service was not particularly attentive
Excellent choiceLike pretty much every Shangri-la hotel you can alway rely on Shang Palace for some authentic high quality food and Bangkok is no exception. Restaurant itself is typical "banquet" style Chinese fair. Staff are good and mostly Cantonese / Mandarin speakers as well as English and Thai. Food is first rate, especially enjoyed the prawn with fruit salad and the spare ribs with spicy salt and indeed the tofu. e took our own wine and at 700 baht corkage was very reasonable. All in all id go back.
