The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government.
The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

The culture, history, and art of Thailand are vividly reflected in this palace. Wat Phra Kaew is a Buddhist sacred place in Thailand. All the Buddha statues, sculptures, murals, and carvings inside are exquisite. It is worth visiting and admiring.✨🤩

The Grand Palace in Thailand is a must-visit for tourists in Thailand. 🕌
This is where the Thai royal family holds major events and is also an administrative office.
The Thai emperor is no longer living here. The reason why the Grand Palace is called here is not because it covers a large area, but because it is decorated very luxuriously, it is full of gold and glory everywhere, reflecting the royal style.

Traveling in Thailand|Reviewing the history of Thailand in the magnificent Grand Palace~
The Grand Palace was built in 1782. After the continuous renovation and expansion of the kings of the dynasties, the grand palace complex of such a large scale was built.
It is modeled after the old palace of the great city of Dadu. It is one of the many royal palaces in Thailand. It is the most preserved, largest and most ethnic palace in the past. It brings together Thai architecture and paintings. The essence of the art of engraving and decoration, with its distinctive Siamese architectural style, the Bangkok dynasty from Rama I to Rama VIII, both in the Grand Palace.
Now in addition to the ceremonies and activities such as the coronation ceremony and the court celebration, the Grand Palace is open to the public and becomes a famous tourist spot in Thailand.
So when you arrive at the Grand Palace, you will find everyone everywhere. Crossing the road is a person, queuing to buy tickets is also a person, the visit is even more people, in addition to individual passengers, the tour group is also a team and then a team to come, endless stream, crowds.
Nevertheless, the Grand Palace is worth a visit, see the residence of the Thai royal family, and look at the magnificent eyes.

A very beautiful place. There is a lot to see while walking around and you can always join one of many tour groups if you are interested in the history. You do have to take quite a walk around the palace to get to the entrance to buy the ticket into it. There is an entrance into it but only for people who are coming to pray. They don’t have to pay and some people even just walk through and get in for free just to walk around.
interesting. will come back again.
The Grand Palace is a feast for the eyes. I suggest arriving at 8:30 am when the gates open. You will not only beat the heat, but also the worst of the crowds. I also suggest stopping at one of the two coffee shops they are located at the entrance and exit. They have a wonderful iced Thai tea and a very refreshing honey lime juice that is perfect after walking in the heat. Make sure you are properly attired nothing above the knee and no bare shoulders ( men and women).
There are lots of Temples that are so stunning that every travellee should not miss when in thailand. 40,717 Buddhist temples to be exact and 33,902 are still im active use today. In my visit last september of 2019, I was able to visit 5 temples. So i still have 40,712 to go. More reason for me to go back.
