Very nice mixture of temples and Buddha’s, located opposite the kings palace on the other side of the river. Seems to have more locals than tourists which is nice. It was nice also visiting at night...

Wat Rakang is not so famous but locals like to pray the Buddha to protect them from illness, evil and kept them peace, happy and prosperous forever.
Beautiful temples. Famous for its many bells around the temples. There's a saying that if you ring every bell there, you will be very lucky. You can also free the animals, usually fishes and birds, at the Chao Praya riverside for extra luck. Downside is the lack of parking spaces. If you want to take a car, just beware that it might be scratched due to narrow roads. Recommend coming here by taxi.
This isn't the best temple you will visit in Bangkok, but it stands out for a couple of reasons, its proximity to the river and the giant bells on display (Rakang in Thai is bell). It is also one of the more ancient temples in Bangkok, dating from the Ayuthaya period. The temple used to be the residence of the Supreme Patriarch to King Rama IV, and thus was bestowed royal status.
Although this temple is very popular with locals, the inside of the temple is far from the famous temple on the other side of the river. However, if you like less crowded, "niche" temples, come here. The best angle of photography for the temple is on the ferry (see my photo). Because there are local people feeding, many pigeons will fly around this area, pay attention to bird droppings. This pond seems to be mainly visited by locals, because I did not see any tourists when I visited. I spent a few hours in this attraction and was surprised by it. There is a complete set of Buddhist scriptures in the temple complex behind a red wooden house. It is worth visiting for blessings.
The incense in the Valakan Temple is very strong, and many local pilgrims will come to pray. The temple is very quiet and comfortable. The temple itself is also very beautiful. Some details are very impressive.
