在最稀疏平常的回家路上遇到了最让人惊喜的美食。Embat餐厅默默地藏匿在Mallorca大街304号，简洁Chic的装潢风格一度让我以为这仅仅是一家再平凡不过的餐厅，供应日常简餐。然而就坐后仅仅是尝了一口餐前的西红柿橄榄油面包，就彻底改变了我对这家餐厅的印象。面包酥如薄脆，上好的橄榄油清香扑鼻，味道绝不是一家随随便便的tapas餐厅所能达到的质量。一个肯用上等橄榄油搭配面包的厨师，厨艺多半不会差。随后的每道菜都让人认识到传统西班牙食材的另一种呈现方式。做成面条状的鱿鱼柔软而不失弹性，配上意大利青酱pesto和榛子淡奶泡沫，其鲜香细腻令人十分享受，仿佛大脑神经一周的紧张都因为这一道美食得到了松弛和按摩。芥末生牛肉配上浓淡适度的黑松露橄榄油，同样是独具创新。烟熏茄子配鳀魚黄油再次打翻对茄子的认知。最后甜点欧芹青柠冰激凌十分轻盈爽口，整餐吃下来只能用美妙和舒服来形容。

Mustard raw beef with a strong and moderate black truffle olive oil is also unique. Smoked eggplant with salmon butter once again overturns the perception of eggplant. Grabbed a quick bite on the way to La Sagrada Familia. Typical breakfast specials - cafe con leche, bikini sandwiches (my favorite), muffins, etc. for a few euros.

Had an excellent meal here whilst staying in Barcelona in April. Very imaginative food and welcoming friendly staff. The restaurant never really filled up on the night we were there (even though it was a Saturday) and there was no music and the lighting was quite bright. The atmosphere could be hugely improved with softer lighting, different table layout and some soft music in the background.
