Beijing Zheng Prince House

This is the residence of Jierhalang, the sixth son of Shuerhaqi, the younger brother of Nurhaci, the emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Jier Harang is also one of the founding fathers of the Qing Dynasty, and is the only person in the history of the Qing Dynasty who was awarded the title of "Uncle King" except Dorgon. The mansion faces south, covering a vast area and majestic buildings. It is divided into three parts from east to west. The east is where the main temple is located, the middle is the courtyard residence, and the west is the garden. Seventeen princes lived here in total, and the last prince mortgaged it to the Xishiku Catholic Church, and later became the site of China University. At present, only the buildings in the east still remain, including the street gate, the main gate, the main hall, 5 east annexes, 3 west annexes and 5 main bedrooms. The eastern part is now the office of China Education Development Foundation; and a middle school has been built on the original site of the former garden "Huiyuan".
