It was a must if you visit Beijing. There had some special things being exhibited because of the Spring Festival, like couplets, lanterns, door god and many of the traditional celebration and celebratory things. They were beautiful and delicate and old.For instance,we saw many exquisite chairs and cupboards and tables in the furniture museum. There were many tiny details and figures on it. The exhibition was great but just a little bit crowded.I was too little compared with those adults so I could hardy see these fantastic things. I saw a set of golden chimes and they are huge, shining and impressive. It also had a meandering experience. We not only went to see the exhibition but also walked around it on the city walls. There were exhibitions in the turrets too. There was one showing you how it was built and that made me gasp in admiration about our ancestors’ wise for building houses without a single nail. It was great to go for a walk on it because you can see the beautiful scenes both inside and outside. It was good to see the whole museum from up high and you can see the yellow or green roofs, the yellow ones will be golden if the sun shines on it,and the red walls.Outside, you’ll see the Jingshan Park .There were just a few people on the city walls because many of the tourists don’t know this.Things in it were still brilliant. It was a big museum and there were many long-term exhibitions. We didn’t go into all of them because we were running out of time but I know they are pretty good so I suggest you go in and have a look.I promise it won’t let you down.I know I will come back for the second,or third time.I hope you’ll have that feeling too. It’s a good place to know further about Chinese culture ,history and it was our glory!Tips:1.If you want to have a better visiting experience, you’d better go there on weekdays and there would be fewer people.2.Things in it will be a little expensive so you ought to prepare everything well and full up your tummy or bring enough money.
The Palace Museum of Beijing, formerly known as the Forbidden City, is the Royal Palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. It is located in the center of the central axis of Beijing and is the essence of ancient Chinese Palace architecture. Beijing Palace Museum is centered on three main halls, covering an area of 720,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 150,000 square meters. It has more than 70 palaces and more than 9,000 houses. It is one of the largest and most complete ancient wooden structures in the world. The Beijing Palace Museum was built in 1406 in Yongle, Chengzu, Ming Dynasty. It was built on the basis of Nanjing Palace Museum and completed in 1420 in Yongle. It is a rectangular city pool, 961 meters long north and south, 753 meters wide East and west, surrounded by a wall 10 meters high, and 52 meters wide moat outside. The buildings in the Forbidden City are divided into two parts: the Outer Court and the Inner Court. The center of the foreign Dynasty is the Hall of Taihe, the Hall of Zhonghe and the Hall of Baohe, which are collectively called the three halls. They are the places where the national ceremonies are held. The center of the Inner Court is the Qianqing Palace, Jiaotai Palace and Kunning Palace, which are collectively called the Hou Three Palaces and the main palace where emperors and queens live. Beijing Palace Museum is known as the top five palaces in the world (Beijing Palace Museum, Versailles Palace, Buckingham Palace, White House of the United States, Kremlin Palace of Russia). It is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It was listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1961 and as a world cultural heritage in 1987.
Shhhh, its forbidden! The Forbidden City is a great sightseeing point when visiting Beijing. Located not far from Tian’anmen square, the roots and history of the forbidden city is kept. I strolled through the city up and down the many stairs it keeps. I bobbed and weaved through every neighborhood it kept to its sides and deep history surounded me.I recommend visiting this landmark in all other seasons than summer, as the visitors come flowing and its very difficult to get a ticket in during peak season.
4.15 Before May Day and after the Qingming Dynasty, I took my mother to the Palace Museum for a tour. The weather was just right. Although I had deliberately missed the holiday, there were still many people. Traffic is very convenient, Beijing South Railway Station Line 4 to Line 1, three yuan to Tian'anmen West, out of the subway entrance, not very far, you can reach the Tian'anmen security checkpoint, online search a picture, according to the order of visits from the noon gate to Shenwumen, I have to say, really big, if you walk slowly, five or six hours, you can probably finish, each palace has a brief introduction, extra. As an absolute landmark building in Beijing, the tickets for the treasure hall and clock hall are worth visiting and recommending.~
I suggest you don't go in this place during a Chinese holiday as most of mainlanders will flock to see this place. I am in awe of the grandeur of this palace and a one whole day trip is not enough to see the well preserved relics of the place and the vastness of its surroundings.
The whole development is tremendous and unforgettable. The structures of the development are well maintained and visitor can trace the footprint of chinese history from Ming to Ching Dynasties.
It takes you back to old China. Every detail of this place shows why it was Forbidden before. It’s truly amazing!
