Xinghua Hutong 13, a typical old Beijing courtyard house. A few steps west from this yard, through a narrow ramp northbound, is the former site of Furen University (now one of Beijing Normal University) on Dingyu Street. There are four stone steps in front of the door. The paint on the two doors has been mottled, but the pair on both sides have been loyal to the family for a long time. The poem is still clear and readable. Chen Yu, a Chinese historian ﹑ educator, once lived here because he was a professor and president of the National Peking University ﹑ Beiping Normal University ﹑ Furen University.

Chen Yu, a Chinese historian ﹑ educator, once lived here because he was a professor and president of the National Peking University ﹑ Beiping Normal University ﹑ Furen University.
Chen Yu attaches great importance to education. During the 40 or 50 years of teaching in universities and scientific research institutions, he has created many talents with a great deal of influence on the enthusiastic teaching of young scholars. The famous calligrapher Qigong is his proud student.
No tickets are accepted, and no visits are allowed. The appearance of the compound is already an office location of Furen University.
