TheNational Library of China, completed in 1987, is in the Haidian District, Beijing. The library consists of three separate areas; the North and South Districts, as well as the Museum of Ancient Books. Each area is separated by glass and in the middle of the library there are many kinds of bookcases. The overall scene is very memorable due to the building design. The main part of the National Library is striking because of its two tall, twin towers. The entire building is unique in design and it also contains a large number of books for people to read.
