Among the many temples in Badgang Duba Square, we focused on the Batsala Goddess Temple, a stone Hindu temple, beautifully shaped and exquisitely carved, built by the King of Mala in 1737, which worshipped the goddess Batsala. In addition to elephant and lion sculptures, the three-storey terrace of the temple is particularly noticeable with a copper bell as high as 1 metre. Like the golden gate of the old palace, this clock is also one of the city symbols of Badgang. Next to the temple was a tall and magnificent watch, topped by a statue of a king, who sat steadily in the winter sunshine with his hands folded, overlooking the crowded people in the square.
The Goddess Temple is a famous tourist attraction in Badgang. It is the old palace of Nepal. There are exquisite carved stone statues, steps and so on. We went before the great earthquake in 2015. We were lucky to see these historical relics. We don't know how much we can recover now.
The Temple of Batsala has been destroyed in the earthquake of 2015. The Goddess Temple is located on the east side of the 55 Window Palace. It is a stone Hindu temple built on three stone steps. Outside the temple, there is a copper bell as high as one meter. Like Kinmen, this big bell is one of the famous city signs of Badgang. Animal stone carvings are also carved on the edge of the three-tier stone steps. Unfortunately, the main building of the temple on the stone steps was destroyed in the earthquake. At the same time, there was a small bell in front of the temple, which is famous for its "barking bell". It is said that it was built on the basis of the scene in King Bupatindra Mala's dream - "when the bell rang, dogs barked together.
The Batsala Temple is a stone temple dedicated to the goddess of Batsala. The temple was completely destroyed by the earthquake in 2015 and is now being rebuilt. We can only see the ruins on one side and the slow tidying up.
I took many pictures of this tower. It's strange that I didn't make a strategy. I could only look at the building like cabbage. I could not avoid visual fatigue if I saw more. The main reason for going to Nepal this time is hiking. If you have the chance to go again, you must do your homework well.
World Natural and Cultural Heritage Project. The Goddess Temple is opposite the white building. The white building is the palace. There are cattle walking along the road. This is Shenniu. Many local people will throw rice on the ground from their bags to feed when Shenniu comes. The goddess is very young and seldom appears in a house on the second floor of the temple. I was lucky when I went there because there were activities in the temple. Many people were preparing all kinds of food. Some people shouted at the second floor. The goddess looked out for a few seconds. Then it disappeared in sight. If you are interested in it, you can go and see it.
It belongs to the historical and cultural heritage of the United Nations and is amazed by its exquisite stone carving construction technology. Especially, the statues and animals on the side of the temple are lifelike. The temple is a product of the 17th century and is well preserved.
