About Binzhou

Binzhou is situated in northern Shandong province on the coast of the Bohai Sea. It is also close to the Yellow River. The city has a rich history that dates back to the Neolithic period. It is regarded as one of the birthplaces of the Huang civilization and the Zhou dynasty Qi culture. Major attractions include Wei Castle, an ancient Chinese military school run by the Zhou dynasty military general Sun Tzu, Hebanshan National Forest Park and a shrine to the Song dynasty Confucian scholar Fan Zhongyan.
