Staffs energy tick, the deli range and price TICK, the French toast, the eggs benedict BEST in BRisbane TICK, the chicken salad WOW TICK, the owner TICK, the music HOORAY. Don't waste time go there for breakfast, lunch, shop. The take home pizzas great value 10.95, ask for the one with truffle oil. The cheeses, I can't leave without picking some up. I can keep going but I won't bore you. It's tempting to move suburbs to have it on my door step.
Great idea, similar to the Hawthorne Garage, of a deli/ cafe in an old petrol station, but Scullys has a long way to go to get the ambiance of Garage. You really do feel like you are sitting on a fuel station forecourt- I know that is what it used to be, but surely there could be a bit more of an effort made. Coffee- had takeaway once and wouldn't recommend, but my sit down one was much better- probably due to the skills of the barista. The breakfast burger- a bacon and egg roll- was good. Disappointed to find I had been overcharged ( three meals were delivered when I ordered two), but the manager quickly sorted it out, so was a genuine mistake.
Went here for breakfast on a Saturday and were very disappointed. Both my wife's vegetarian breakfast and my avo/feta on toast were not as good as we could of done ourselves at home. The whole place just feels a little amateur. The only redeeming feature was that the coffee was good. We wouldn't bother going again
I picked the wrong time to arrive! Standing at the counter waiting to order, the barrister & waitress were too involved in an argument to serve me. When they finished it did order a coffee and food. I sat and waited, the coffee came, the food didn't. When I confronted them about the food, I got the death stare and when it was finally delivered, not a word of apology, in fact nothing was said! Cold coffee with my food and poor service! The truth is out there!
Nice setting, simple and quick, a sandwich warmer, then a cup of espresso, a good meal.
