Both visitors and locals to Brisbane often find that the Brisbane River has a lot to offer in the way of family-friendly activity. A large variety of cruises run up and down the river constantly, giving sight-seers some of the best views of the city. Kayakers splash through the waters anytime the weather is nice enough. Bicyclers explore trails along its banks as friends and families enjoy picnics on its shores. Frugal explorers can get a pass for the CityCat--the local ferry system--and enjoy some spectacular views without hurting their wallets.
Such a stunning city and amazing walk along the river
Brisbane river, flows through the city of Brisbane, across Victoria bridge, story bridge, new farm park before emptying into Moreton Bay. You can choose to chill at a bar by the river, or pick a fine dining restaurant and have a candle light dinner with your loved one with an awesome river view. We walked through both sides of river via Victoria and Story bridge - south bank, eagle street pier and kangaroo point. The backdrop of high rise CBD building pair with clear blue sky and river, make you a perfect photo! When you take a City ferry across the river, you can also take a perfect photo of the lights up Story Bridge!
The Brisbane River is the longest river in South East Queensland, Australia, and flows through the city of Brisbane, before emptying into Moreton Bay. basically u will be able to acess the river at most part of the brisbane . from the south side .. south bank or the cbd side . there is a tour boat that will curise up and down the river . if not just take the citycat . that is public ferry which is much more cheaper .
Brisbane River encasing the city skyline is a sure sight to see from Southbank in Brisbane, be sure to witness as the lights turn on from sunset to night.
