A little known piece of Brisbane history Most people don't know that this spot was to be the site of the largest Catholic cathedral in the southern hemisphere. All that remains is a sandstone retaining wall. Read all about it on Brisbane history websites (Holy Name Cathedral). The park is pleasant and has remains of a World War Two air raid shelter for further interest.
