Fort San Pedro is located next to the port and is also known as the ancient castle of the Philippines with the Castle of San Diego in Manila, which was built when Spain first arrived in the Philippines. During World War II, the castle was used to defend against the Japanese army. The barracks used as military officers during the US military rule were now converted into school classrooms. The San Pedro Fort next to the pier was the first station in Spain to enter Cebu, which was later converted into a memorial park.

the Filipino cultural is so open and kind it's a great time when you visit the fort was nice the grounds was clean and the people are nice and friendly
The place is in Cebu City, the ferry boat is less than 5 minutes by jeepney, many beautifultourists from South Korea, China, USA, Canada and worldwide. Stepping into Fort San Pedro is like going back to the year 1200 AD and everything still intact, you cqn even drink fresh water from a midieval water fountain.
This place is old school and classic.Very educational, good with family and friends!A must visited place in Cebu City.” nearby Sto. Niño Basilica!
beautiful architecture and a relaxing walk through the old fort. it is not too far from the basillica and magellans cross so it is a convenient morning trip to see these three monuments. great pictures inside the fort of what it looked like many years ago. a must see for history lovers
San Pedro Castle is not far from the pier. It's only a ten-minute walk through a small residential area. San Pedro Castle and San Diego Castle in Manila are called the oldest castle in the Philippines, but they are much smaller than San Diego Castle. When we went to St. Infant's Cathedral, there were activities. The followers were listening to the hymn devoutly. Many people were waiting in the cathedral. The chant is very beautiful, the monument is here to visit, the castle is even more boring, to the outside of the castle a group of children in rehearsal program is very attractive, dressed very simple but very serious.
I do recommend visiting Fort San Pedro. It is part of the history of the Philippines and is extremely interesting. Inside the fort is some history and back round explaining how these beautiful islands were discovered and how they took shape in their early days. It isnt expensive to enter and only takes a short tome to see everything inside and out!!
You'll feel transported to that certain era of Philippine History when you visit the place. I should have worn a "baro't saya" to complete the get up and scenery. Its nicely maintained and restored, it was landscape beautifully too..So if you wanted to see and feel the good old days..this is a good place to start with
