canyoneering in Cebu!This has got to be the highlight of my trip in the Philippines. I have never done anything like this before my trip but this experience is just soo cool. It is an adventure near the town of Moalboal, Cebu. You get to do so much in 4 hours. Hiking, relaxing in the river and flowing along the stream, Waterfall and Cliff Jumping! Canyoneering @Kawasan FallsTo celebrate my Birthday this year, I took the family out for some extreme adventure. It is the first time for us to do Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls in Cebu and it turned out to be quite a challenge yet one for the books. It started with a quick ride via motorbike and off road truck to the drop off point. We had a short orientation then started a trek to up the canyon and down to the falls. We started with a quick jump through a 5 meter drop in crystal clear cold waters of the Canyon. Then a drop facing backwards which I found a lot easier as I did not have to see the intimidating drop like the previous drop. We kept moving. A combination of hiking and swimming, with drops getting higher and more challenging which ended in a 4 hour journey to the main falls. It was out of my usual comfort zone but we'll worth it. Tumalog falls on Cebu Island is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Philippines. The turquoise waters of the falls aren’t quite as vibrant as at Kawasan falls, but the sheer size of the waterfall makes it an incredible place to visit. Due to the somewhat remote location of Tumalog falls in South Cebu it was only discovered in 2012, but thankfully the waterfall is now easily accessible by road. It’s a great place to adventure to as part of a day trip discovering the amazing waterfalls of South Cebu. Kawasan Falls is located in the Mobao area of Cebu Island. There is a one-day tour of Kawasan Falls in the area. The price ranges from 1500p to 2500p. We met four small Taiwanese partners locally. Six people joined the group and two local guides led the team. Starting at about 10 a.m. and returning at 5 p.m. Seven hours of mountain climbing, River hiking, natural water-skiing, diving, waterfall flushing, the newspaper will provide lunch, a meat dish plus rice and drinks. Kawasan Falls is the most famous waterfall on Cebu Island.
