"You’ve never been to Chian Mai unless you visited this beautiful and stunning place. It never failed to amazed me and took my breathe away. The gorgeous Chiang Mai city view is superb, the Buddhist temple experienced is beyond, the weather is so perfect, side trips were awesome, it’s very unforgettable. I should've done this the first time I came to Chiang Mai."

"was design during 7th dynasty of mengrai. Wat Chedi Luang isn't as grand as Wat Phra Singh, but its towering, ruined Lanna-style chedi (built in 1441) is much taller and the sprawling compound around the stupa is powerfully atmospheric. The famed Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), now held in Bangkok's Wat Phra Kaew, resided in the eastern niche until 1475; today, you can view a jade replica."

"It was a very nice, easy to visit temple. Not crowded, free admission, beautiful. The inly annoying thing ks the tuk-tuk drivers hanging out at the front pestering you when you walk in and when you leave. Get rid of them, and this place is completely peaceful!"

"One of the best festival to look forward to when you’re in Thailand is the Loy Krathong and Yi Peng Festival though it is celebrated in the whole country every year, nothing can beat how Chiang Mai celebrate it as it is very unforgettable experience you will have. I won’t share what are those experiences cause I don’t want to spoil it. I want you to see and experience it yourselves. But, here are some and it happened in Wat Phan Tao."

"This place organizes free Bhuddist meditation retreats outside Chiang Mai. Even if that's not your scene typically, it's a great way to experience how a chunk of the Thai population lives. You'll wake up really early for meditation, but you also get to spend 24 hours in baggy white clothes/pajamas that the temple provides, eat simple but free meals, and learn a lot about serenity beyond the stereotypical lotus position."

"Located in the downtown area outside Thapae Gate, it is the filming location for the movie "Thailand". The scale is not large, but it combines the two temple cultures of Burma and Lanna, resplendent, peaceful and holy. The most attractive thing in the temple is the small wooden monastery, which has a history of more than 300 years, and the houses are still preserved. There are many statues of animals and dolls in the temple, and their shapes are naive and lifelike. There are some cute cartoon elements in the temple."

"It is a newly built temple in Chiang Mai. It covers a large area and is said to be the largest temple complex in Chiang Mai. It is still under repair. The grandeur of the Blue Temple is the most complete Thai-style temple complex in Chiang Mai. There are many fun-filled statues and gadgets in the temple. Maybe there are not many tourists at present, there are no tickets, no parking fees."

"This wat had some unique features of the metal bodhi trees and stained glass on the The grounds has little ceramic pigs and a nice chedi in the back. You can see this on your walk around the perimeter of the old city."
