Located outside the ancient city, Langben Monastery usually offers foreigners an 11-day meditation course, which is paid for by donation. The site of the temple is located in a large area, there are many separate temples, you can enter, the garden behind is very beautiful. For meditators, the place to sleep is much better than anywhere else. Everyone has a private room, comfortable mattresses, fans and even hot showers.
Langben Temple is located to the west of Canal Road, about 4 kilometers southwest of Chiang Mai, beside a forest. Since the 1980s, it has become a meditation center, welcomed by Thais and foreigners. Visitors wear white clothes to study Buddhist Dharma during 10 to 30 days of temporary residence.
Langben Temple is a good place for meditation, not far from the airport. Accommodation and practice need to wear white clothes every day. The food here is also good. Every afternoon, we meet with teachers to discuss Buddhism. We can also join monks in singing and praying in the morning and evening.
I'm not too impressed, but the monastery has a great environment. I can't remember any of the buildings in it, but I can see many people meditating.
Where there is history, culture and story. The environment is very quiet, come is the feeling of relaxed temperament.
