Road trip to Pattaya (from BKK)
We rented a car in Bangkok for a day and decided to go all the way to Pattaya for day trip
You can drive in thailand as long as you have your international driver license.
So started our day with a quick breakfast in BKK, we stopped by Jaekoy restaurant. Famous among the locals, it was recommended by my friend who resided in BKK and they’re famous for their somtum (papaya salad). Affordable price and good food💛
Then we drove for 2 hours to Pattaya beach
Next destination is Banlay Home cafe, a small gorgeous cafe with view of the sea. Price was slightly higher but the food and drink were good.
After that, we went to aesthetically pleasing beachfront restaurant called Glass house boho. Ordered their signature cocktails. Enjoyed their sunset. Every corner is very instagrammable
Finally, we had dinner at Krua rom mai thai , a local halal thai restaurant before we head back to Bangkok.
It was cheap and the food was delicious💛

2Pattaya hotel can be chosen near Pattaya Walking Street
(It's better to be two or three streets away from the red light district, it's a bit unbearable when the red light district is crazy at night)
③Take a taxi to Pattaya pier and find a speedboat to Koh Larn at any pier. The pier is the best place for Chinese level in Pattaya, so don't worry about the speedboat. It takes about 15min to wait for a full boat to leave and 20min to get to Koh Larn.
4Koh Larn does not need a ticket. There is no beach near the pier we boarded. You need a motorcycle/double car to go to the beach. There will be various people surrounding you to buy play projects and transportation tools. Just choose as needed.
Because I have played many other water projects besides parasailing, this time I just want to play parasailing. I bargained to 800 Thai packs and sent us to the beach by motorcycle.

It is recommended to bring a mobile phone on the boat. After the little brother will ask if you want to take photos and videos with your mobile phone, 100 Thai people without a mobile phone will need 200 Thai. The process is to fly one by one, each person flies for about 2 minutes, flies very high, the view is really good, it is a bit exciting when you fly out without sitting still, and then you are not afraid, it is very comfortable to fly in the sky
6After playing, you can go to the beach. We went to two beaches. One has a lot of people and the most commercialized, but the sea is very blue and clear, and the sand is soft. There is another one with fewer people. There are only some Westerners. There is no commercial atmosphere. There are only shops and beach chairs. The sea water is equally clear, the sand is not so soft, but there are many fish in the sea.

Getting There - It is quite far out so getting a car would be recommended.
Attractions - The Sanctuary of Truth Museum is a hand carved wooden structure that sits beside the sea. It is absolutely beautiful and definitely a must see if you are in the Bangkok or Pattaya area.
Hotels - Stay in Hotels further North of Pattaya as they are closer to this attraction and it is a nicer area.
Food & Restaurants - When here wait until you come back up from the museum to eat authentic Thai food. There is a restaurant outside the main building but it is mostly low quality western foods.

27/08/23 Koh Lan Pattaya
A day trip in Koh Lan in Pattaya, Thailand. Very easy and cheap to get in the small island in Pattaya. Just take ferry at Bali Hai Pier for only 30 bath ($2.8 Aud) for 30-45 minutes. If you want to go to the different beaches around the island just rent motorcycle for 300 bath ($14.75 Aud) a day. The food are cheap and reasonable. There were a lot of Chinese, Indian and local Thai tourists around Tawean beach as people like to swim there. There are Songtell mini bus that can take you around the island which is very cheap. The water is crystal clear in Tien beach and there will be the geese come out at 2pm for you to take a photo with. Koh Larn Island is a great getaway close to Pattaya!
Getting There - 40 min by ferry from Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya. 30 THB/person.
Koh Larn is the closest island to Pattaya, with very well developed infrastructure. There are 2 piers and 6 main beaches on the island. Ferries from Pattaya bring tourists directly to Ta Waen beach or to the port village of Na Ban on the other side of the island. You can travel between the beaches by tuk-tuk for 20-40 THB/person, by motorbike taxi or rent a bike. Fun Kids Club At Space Hotel Pattaya
If there's ever one thing that kids want to do, it's to have endless fun and play time. That's why I am relieved to know that Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya Hotel has an ASTRO Club for kids and it is totally free of charge. The club is open for hotel guests from 8am-6pm and it was fantastic!
Parents like me could take a break while my kids can roam around the club and have fun playing all the toys at ASTRO club. There are cooking sets, building & construction toy sets, a TV area that plays cartoons for kids and even a small indoor playground which is heavily cushioned to prevent injuries. There are claw machines as well, and electronic drawing boards for kids ro doodle. How interesting! I love that my kids had fun and we had an enjoyable stay at Grande centrepoint space pattaya hotel. Don't forget to utilize this fun kids club if you ever stay there!

OORT Cloud Tea Room
A tea room that I would highly recommend in Pattaya would be Oort Cloud Tea Room, which is found inside of Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya Hotel. Oort Cloud tea room display such grandeur and tranquility, that it is the best place to have a drink, sit down and relax.
The cafe is mainly space theme and so are some of their tea treats. I had their iced galaxy tea and a planet chocolate bomb where the chocolate is shaped in a planet form and encased in it, are little marshmallows. How cute is that! You can also get your usual tea or coffee and pastries/cookies at this lovely Oort Cloud Tea room but I thought I would get something more out of the norm. The place is big and quiet with lots of seatings and love the grand design of this tea room. It is both special and luxurious! You got to come here too.

Terminal 21 malls never disappoint with the array of shops, awesome design and decorations, and amazingly affordable food court. We had already frequented Terminal 21 Asok and Rama in Bangkok and were thrilled to have Terminal 21 Pattaya within walking distance from our hotel during our two-day visit to Pattaya. The Pattaya mall has a similar concept to the Bangkok ones, but we found some new and interesting clothing stores and different food options available in Terminal 21 Pattaya.

Terminal 21 in Pattaya is located on the north side of the city and very easily accessible by public transportation. This shopping center is very popular with tourists and visitors. Each floor is represents country and lifts and escalators looks like an airport.

Around the World at Terminal 21 Pattaya
Terminal 21 Mall Pattaya is so tastefully designed. Right outside the mall, you can already see a huge aircraft parked at the open space, making it look like an airport tarmac. Once you enter the mall, it's a whole new world. Different levels and different sections of the mall brings you to different "countries". Take the escalator up and you will see tokyo or see a boarding gate to Paris. There are many photo props such as an eiffel tower or the golden gate Bridge to take photographs with. The mall also has many restaurants, cafes, eateries and apparel shops. It's one of the nicest malls in Pattaya!
