The Astro lounge is an amazing place. They have excellent staff to serve you delicious food and the music is great. The price of the dishes is reasonable and worth a visit. You will love it!

The restaurant is well located in the beautiful Christchurch Botanical Garden and serves fine Spanish cuisine. Highlights of duck with orange and lamb. Great taste, not cheap but definitely a good experience

Very helpful and friendly staff, perfect for having a drink before dinner and then sitting on some great food, which makes our workplace a cool dinner place. We will all go back again as it was a totally enjoyable evening.

I ate at this restaurant with my companions and loved it, everything was special. Although we didn&rsquo;t book in advance, we were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. It is indeed a great restaurant, well decorated, well trained staff and, most importantly, the food is super delicious. Great done and hopefully keep it going.

A group of us ventured into Astro Lounge for drinks and a platter before heading to an event - great wine selection and a delicious platter to share with friends. The service was friendly and effiecient - we had time constraints and they were able to meet these. Love their live music - such a cool vibe! We will be back!

We love coming here for an evening meal or late afternoon snack. Service always good. Went once with another couple and ordered the platter to share which I recommend. Otherwise love getting the dalek skins to share!

I&#39;ve had some questionable service and visits here in the past, so much so that I actively avoided this place for over a year, but I can safely say it&#39;s improving, however still has a few inconsistency issues. My recent visits have been much more of an experience you&#39;d want to return to. The setting you would definitely describe as something like kiwiana, mixed with sci fi. It&#39;s mostly outdoors too, although they have heaters. Definitely so far on the rustic side that the prices don&#39;t really match the setting. They could quite easily maintain that the product as far as the drinks are concerned are worth the money, as there&#39;s no under par beer, cider or other. Although for the setting you expect to pay less. The same can be said for the volstead in riccarton though with their craft beers in a shed vibe. But I&#39;m not reviewing the volstead.... The next inconsistency is with the booking of a table scenario. One of my visits was for my girlfriends works drinks, and when they&#39;d tried to book a table were told that they don&#39;t take bookings, but when they arrived they saw other tables had reserved signs on. I&#39;ve always felt that inconsistently is the main reason for not returning somewhere. A customer needs to know where they stand. I&#39;ve a few more that left a bad taste in my mouth from previous visits, but I served them with a year of none patronage and I believe they&#39;ve upped there game. I would definitely return now they&#39;re on the up. The staff are pleasant, and they do have a good setting.
