Downing Street is the British Prime Minister's Office. Downing Street was built in the 1780s by a Sir named Downing. The prime minister's residence has guards guarding and iron railing gates to block tourists, but the guards are not only fierce, but also cooperate with tourists to take pictures, which also reflects the side of the prime minister's residence and the people.

I went to No. 10 Downing Street once in my student days, and there was a fence with the Prime Minister's Office. Now the family has been separated by two fences for the second time in London and there are security piles. It seems that the alert has been strengthened everywhere after 911. For our tourists, 10 Downing Street is just at the intersection of Whitehall Street, and it is blocked by iron fences and guarded by police. We were still in Cameron when we went, and the day we left London was the day after the Brexit referendum.

The surrounding environment is good, then you can walk along the road to Big Ben Bell or to Westminster Temple, which is the same direction of the road, just choose the destination at the fork, you can play both, but pay attention to the opening time of Westminster Temple! No. 10 Downing Street can be visited all day without any time limit, so it's good to arrange this view even when you're hanging out at night.
