Bab Agnaou

An old gate in Marrakech's Medina, there is nothing to renovate, basically maintaining its original flavor. You can see the traces of history engraved on it. Inside the door is a narrow alleyway, and outside is a busy road, which is in stark contrast.

Of the 19 gates of the old Medina wall, Agna is the most gorgeous. The gate is made of three carefully carved nested arches. The top corner is decorated with flowers and the arch is made of three panelling engraved with Koranic inscriptions. On closer inspection, you may find the gate a blue-gray stone (found in nearby Guletz) in contrast to the red Medina walls. Babu Agno was built in the 12th century as an entrance to the Almohad dynasty, the Royal Casbah. With carefully carved arches, you may enter the royal state of mind on your way to admire the grandeur of the nearby Elbadi Palace or the magnificent views of the Saadiya Mausoleum. The gates are open and look more refined at night when they light up.

Agnomen was built in the 12th century during the Almohamian dynasty. I understand that this is the period of the Muwahid Empire in my introduction to Moroccan history. It is one of the nineteen gates in Marrakech. The Muwahids established the second Berber Dynasty in Morocco's history in 1147. In its heyday, the territory of the Muwahid Dynasty was vast. Its eastern border extends to Tunisia and to the north to Lisbon-Valence (France) in Europe. During this period, the prosperity of the Dynasty provided favorable conditions for the development of cities such as Marrakech and Firth, which greatly promoted their economy, culture and art.

Agnomen_________ is located near the palace in the Medina area of Marrakech. It is said that the portal used by the former Sudanese to go to the palace looks very beautiful. It is one of the nineteen gates in the urban area of Marrakech. Surrounded by the busy Medina, where people come and go, and it is very busy.

On the south side of Medina, Marrakesh, Agono Gate is one of the nineteen gates in the urban area of Marrakech. It is the gateway used by the former Sudan to visit the palace. It has a very textural carving of the Quran.
