Canglang Pavilion in Suzhou | Unwilling to compete with the bright winter snow, it bestows its unique beauty and lingering fragrance to solitude
Jade plum trees quietly bloom, with endless subtle fragrance rolling in.
Auspicious snow flutters and dances in the southern garden, as a pot of aged wine intoxicates the terrace.
Photos were taken in early January at Canglang Pavilion,
a very niche garden in Suzhou, where the wintersweet flowers bloom, filling the garden with a floating, hidden fragrance,
anticipating the arrival of spring.

Canglang Pavilion is the oldest garden in Suzhou, originally built during the Qingli era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048 AD), and in the early Southern Song Dynasty (early 12th century AD), it was the residence of the famous general Han Shizhong. The garden art of Canglang Pavilion is unique; before entering the garden, a pool of green water is set to encircle the outside. The main scenery inside the garden is rocky mountains, with a soil mountain facing the entrance, on which the Canglang Stone Pavilion is situated. Below the mountain, a water pond is excavated, and a winding covered corridor connects the mountains and waters. The Mingdao Hall in the southeast part of the rockery is the main building of the garden, which is complemented by other structures such as the Five Hundred Sages Shrine, Kanshan Tower, Cuilinglong Pavilion, Yangzhi Pavilion, and the Imperial Stele Pavilion.
Canglang Pavilion, along with Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lingering Garden, is listed as one of the four great gardens of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties in Suzhou. In addition to the Canglang Pavilion itself, there are other buildings and landscapes such as the Yinxin Stone House, Mingdao Hall, and Kanshan Tower.
This is an ancient garden in Suzhou, the overall style is simple and generous, you can feel the heavy history, and the more prominent characteristics are those of various bamboos, which can make you see the varieties you usually can't see.
Suzhou gardens, every time I go to Suzhou to visit 1-2, there are many varieties of bamboo in the Langlang Pavilion, and the corridor is far away. Compared with attractions such as Hanshan Temple in the Humble Administrator's Garden, there are not too many tourists. The tickets are not expensive. It is very convenient to walk in Shiquan Street.
Each garden in Suzhou has its own characteristics, and the swell pavilion is full of romanticism from name to structure. The garden is built in the water, reflected in pairs, entering the gate, a green river surrounds the whole building, which has a unique charm.
The name comes from the book "The Record of the Sound of the Lang Pavilion" written by Song Suxuqin, and the poem "The Sound of the Lang Pavilion" written by Ouyang Xiu - "The Qingfeng Mingyue is priceless, but unfortunately only sells 40,000 yuan", only this sentence, the world knows the Sound Pavilion.
The Langlang Pavilion is very beautiful and chic, especially the 108 windows of different shapes are too attractive. There are two kinds of scenery in the courtyard with one wall and two corridors, which is great. During the Spring Festival, tickets are better to make an appointment, that is, there are more people, and you can also play in the park, the Confucian Temple, etc.
You can really always believe that the plum blossoms in the Soviet aesthetics bring a touch of spring. [Canyuan] The red plums on the corners of the wall are in silent bloom. The white walls and tiles echo the flower windows. It is really Suzhou. The corresponding plum flower picture is also hung in the small building opposite Suzhou. Bring a fan , the hair photography group garden photo is beautiful ❗ You can find it here from the gate to the left [Canglang Pavilion] How can the Canglang Pavilion across the street not go and there are yellow plums in bloom recently, whether it is sitting under the tree or walking to the opposite side to shoot, it is very atmospheric But I feel that the flowering period here is not very long. Everyone has to come as soon as possible. In addition, I remind everyone to make an appointment to see if there is a ticket before going to the Humble Administrator's Garden. I saw that afternoon that there was no quota.
