Typical ware house of the time

It is the first historical building. Sapporo soft stone is used on the outer wall, and it is characterized by a double arch of the roof and the entrance, and its magnificence and unique appearance seem to be one of the representative stone warehouses in the canal area.
It is a historic building that I stopped by while walking around the city of Otaru. Built in 1891, the structure is made of half-timbered inside and masonry woodbone stone outside. I've been to the inside several times, but since it has never been open, I'm only going sightseeing on the outside. The double arch entrance and the appearance with the top of the building were impressive.
Located along the port line that runs next to the Otaru Canal, it is a warehouse designated as the historic building No. 1 designated by Otaru City. It is a heavy building made of stone 2, and it seems that the old-fashioned appearance is left as it is without seeing the traces of repair. I searched for the entrance, but there was no signboard, and the interior seemed to be private. When I came to this area, the number of tourists decreased and I was able to appreciate it slowly.
