Fucheng South Gate Area

Tainan's oldest place, the whole area is an old city, many old temples and houses, even night markets and snack shops are concentrated in this area, which is like the concept of Lijiang ancient city in China.

I spent a whole afternoon wandering in Nanmen District of Fucheng City, and I fell deeply in love with this place. There are the mottled walls of Danan Gate, the smell of books from Tainan University, the snacks on Qingzhong Street, the indomitable Temple of Five Princesses, and the vitality of the baseball field. One afternoon is really not enough. On a sunny afternoon, the food I had no chance to eat and the second-hand books I didn't read were all reasons for me to come back.

Nanmen District has a long history in Tainan. Many buildings and sites have the marks of Ming and Qing Dynasty. In memory of Zheng Chenggong's Yanping County Ancestral Hall and the Five Concubines Temple, which witnessed the death of the Zheng Dynasty, there are only city buildings without the Danan Gate of the Chengchi.

Near Nanmen District of Fucheng City, there are many scenic spots, such as Danan Gate, Nanmen Stele Forest, City Wall, Yanping County Royal Temple, Five Princesses Temple and so on. Here we can also learn about the history of Tainan and even Taiwan. The service is excellent. It is an important cultural field in Taiwan. There are also many bookstores nearby.
