Sanya Fuwan Reservoir is located in the peak township of Sanya River Linjia tributary, Sanya City. Construction began in November 1974. It is a part of the first phase of Sanya Water Supply Project. The river blocking project is a grouting stone gravity dam, the most dam height is 28.9 meters, the net width of flood discharge is 18 meters, and there are 2 9×6.7 meters steel arc gates. The dam on both sides of the Straits is a homogeneous earth dam with a peak length of 115 meters. 1 sub-dam, the top length of the dam is 90 meters, and the upstream slope of the earth dam is a dry block stone, with a thickness of 30 cm. The dam back hydropower station installed a capacity of 125 kW.
