This is a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is very close to the sightseeing spots in Kathmandu, the best option is to arrive by taxi. The price for arriving here from the Tamil community is between 1,000-1,500 rupees. I advise you not to walk back from the temple, because that road is difficult. The temple is very tidy, if you arrive between 9 am and 10 am, you will have a chance to see the monks praying. After that, you can enter the prayer hall and take pictures. Please remember that monks are not allowed to take pictures while praying. The prayer hall also has a large garden where you can relax and enjoy the view of Kathmandu. In addition, some places prohibit tourists from entering, but if you see a sign that says "No Entry", it means that cars (taxi) cannot enter. The great thing is that it's free to visit.
Although often seen, there are still some shocked by it, as if into the sacred journey of worship and the final result of the -

Situated on a hill near Boudhanath, Kopan specializes in Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery has superb 180 degree views of Kathmandu. Retreats and meditation courses are offered, but it also makes a good day trip if you aren't ready or able to commit yourself to a multi-day course. It's a serene spot where Buddhist monks go about their day-to-day business. There's a gift shop/restaurant and library. If you have an interest in Buddhism, the monastery is worth a visit.
You should stay in this monastery at least a week, is so beautiful and peaceful place. And if even Buddhism is not your thing you still have a great opportunity to understand it better.
A Tibetan buddhist monastery and convent on the outskirts of Kathmandu that actually allow visitors and welcome you. Sights, sounds, teachings, moments, to last more than a lifetime (no pun intended ;).
Kopan Monastery is a peaceful place with amazing views of Kathmandu Valley. Though access to the main temple is restricted, the grounds and gardens sporting the monks' living quarters are free to roam around in.
